Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which package is right for me?
The "default" package is the "All Courses" option which includes all five courses plus bonus content. This package is best for professionals who want a holistic education into FP&A and Private Equity modeling and how the two blend together, ultimately setting you up to being a strategic business partner.
The "3 Statement Bundle" is great for someone who wants to knock things out quickly and is geared towards more of a purely FP&A professional: Three Statement Modeling and Cash Forecasting.
The "All Courses + Coaching" package is great for someone who wants to take extra time and talk to me directly. Most often we'll talk about the courses themselves, a project you're working on, or building a one-person business (the time is yours to talk about what you'd like).
Q: What should I know beforehand?
You should have a general understanding of Finance and Accounting topics as well as proficiency with Excel.
We'll teach some awesome Excel tricks and shortcuts along the way, but overall I'd say the courses are geared towards an intermediate+ audience.
If you're a true beginner with Excel or Finance, these courses probably aren't for you.
Q: Who are you and why should I listen to you?
Maybe you "know me" a little from LinkedIn, but by and large I'm just some stranger on the Internet. I get it, and that's a tough sell.
There's more in my "About Me" section below but here's the short story: 15+ years of experience in Consulting, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, and Entrepreneurship.
Today, my work has been featured by the Wharton Online Private Equity Certificate Program, Wall Street Prep, LinkedIn Learning, FTI Consulting, and mentioned on Business Insider, Thinkific, and the Financial Modeling World Cup.
You don't have to listen to me at all, but if you're willing to take a chance, I'm really good at this stuff and know I can help you improve your skills.
Q: Does the Private Equity course make sense for someone who works in FP&A?
Yes! A common misconception is that FP&A and PE are separate disciplines, but in reality they are deeply intertwined.
You can't be good at PE unless you know how to build FP&A forecasts, and if you work in FP&A you need to understand how the capital markets work if you want to be a strategic business partner (your company will likely acquire another company or be approached by PE at some point in your career).
Q: Do you offer CPE credit?
Unfortunately not yet! But I'm working on it (estimated end of 2024).
Q: Does access expire?
No. You get unlimited, lifetime access. Start and stop completely on your timeline. You can always revisit the content as your career progresses.
Q: Can't I find a lot of this on YouTube for free?
Yeah, maybe. But you've got to think about the time it would take and the credibility of what you find. The whole point of paying for a course is that you know you're getting accurate and complete information.
Q: Do you offer financial aid?
Definitely. I know that price can be a concern for people and also that purchasing power is different all around the world. If you'd like to be considered for financial aid, just fill out your details here (open to everyone).
Q: What if I don't like it or it's not for me?
I offer a 30-day 100% Moneyback guarantee so long as you've completed less than 50% of the Program. I doubt that will be the case (as you'll see from the reviews below), but if not just let me know and there's no hard feelings.
